Gondoltam kihasználom az utolsó lehetőséget, hogy ösztöndíjjal mehetek gyakorlatra és mivel Skócia eddig is a szívem csücske volt, úgy döntöttem, hogy most aztán mindent megnézek. Glasgow városát is, amiből eddig csak a repülőteret és a busz-pályaudvart láttam.

I thought I'd use my last chance to get a scholarship for an internship and since Scotland has been my a favourite of mine since I was a kid I decided to go and see everything. Like Glasgow, since the last time I only saw the airport and the bus station.

A Necropolis, azaz a halottak városa, amikor az ember úgy gondolja, hogy halála után is fontos és van pénze, hogy ezt kihangsúlyozza... De hangulatos hely. :D
The Necropolis or city of the dead. Clear example of people with who think they are important even after their death and they have the money to show it, too. But the place does have a charm. :D

Ez meg már Lismore szigete, itt lakom. Na nem ebben az épületben, ez a közelben egy elhagyatott ház, de nagyon jól néz ki.
And this here is the Isle of Lismore, where I'm staying. Not actually in this building, but close by. This is one of a few abandoned crofts nearby, I think it looks really pretty.

Én, mint önkéntes pedig itt ültetek fákat, merthogy egy szuper öko-tudatos pár tulajdonában van ez a terület és több fát akarnak. Mert az jó a környezetnek. Egészen hihetetlen. Eddig kb. 10000, azaz tízezer fánál tartanak, én ebből alig néhány-száz példányt ültettem, elég jó testmozgást biztosít napi öt órában. :D
So I'm a workawayer here and I'm planting trees, because the area is owned by a super eco-friendly couple who wants to plant trees, just because it's good for Mother Nature. Unbelievable. So far they are at 10000, yep, that's ten thousand. I only planted a couple hundred so far, it's pretty good excercise though in 5 hours a day. :D
Ezek a fák, ha nem tocsog a talaj, akkor ásunk egy buckát, halvány fogalmam sincs a magyar nevéről, a szótáram szerint massza, pedig egy két ásónyom széles talajdarabról van szó. Aztán abba ültetjük el a kis csemetéket és rágcsálók meg a szél ellen is védjük őket mindenféle eszközökkel. Szóval ásás, kalapálás, cipekedés, minden van.
These are the trees, if the soil is not soaking wet we are dolloping - digging cubes of topsoil and turning them upside down. We put the saplings in these then put on vole guards and tree guards, too. So we dig, hammer and carry a lot of stuff. Yaay, muscles!
Esőkabát, esőnadrág, vízálló cipő, de néha még ezt is kevésnek érzem. :')

There's two castles on the island, on the only sunny afternoon so far we visited this one, Castle Coeffin with my fellow workawayer.
Az az alig látszó lapos a mi szigetünk. De a kilátás eszméletlen! :D

Ez pedig a közeli város, Oban, azaz a Hebridák kikötője. innen indulnak a kompok mindenfelé. A domb tetején pedig ismét gyönyörű példáját láthatjuk a "Gazdagok vagyunk és meg akarjuk mutatni! gondolkodásnak, itt a Colosseum mintájára épült ez a valami.
Oban, the nearest town, gateway to the Hebrides, where all the ferries are leaving from. On top of the hill you can find another example of the "We are rich and going to show it!" attitude. The tower was build to resemble the colosseum.
És itt dobtam el az agyam, felnyitható a komp eleje, az autók ott jönnek ki. Az embereknek meg kb repülőtéri lejárat van.
This totally blew my mind, the front of the ship lifts up so that the cars can drive off. And the people just walk off like it's an airport terminal.
